FAQ and Guidelines

  1. What is included in a typical web template?
A web template will provide you with a web page(s) with some content and hyperlinks all of which may be changed or edited. Templates downloaded will have all of the graphics and html files necessary for you to develop your own website.

  2. If I develop websites for customers, can I use your templates?
Yes, you may use our templates for your client's websites. You will find each template will have a link pointing to our website at the very bottom of the page. If you would like to remove this link please send us an email. Depending on the template this can be done through PayPal for around $15.

  3. How do I open the Templates I download from you?
Each template is provided in .zip format. As an .zip file you will be able to unzip the files directly to a folder on your computer. You may also download WinZip by clicking here

  4. How do I go about using this template for my site?
Using a program such as Macromedia Dreamweaver, Microsoft FrontPage or any HTML editor you can open any of the '*.html' files included with each template and enter in your own content and links and then re-save/rename the page according to your needs.

If you would like to make changes to graphics or put labels on buttons, we suggest using a program such as Macromedia Fireworks, Paint Shop Pro, Ulead PhotoImpact, Adobe PhotoShop or any other graphic editor. We can help you if you only have a couple buttons to design for your site. For a small fee we can also put your company name/logo/slogan in and resend you the updated template files.

For Dreamweaver users there is also a 'dreamtemplate*.dwt' file in the template folder which will speed up your web production.

  5. Can you help me add my content or fix HTML alignment?
Limited free support on our templates is provided.

  6. Will you host my website?
No, we are not a hosting provider. We recommend you to take a look at the cheap web hosts that are ranked and reviewed by Web Hosting Search.

Editing the Templates

Unless you already have an HTML editor such as Dreamweaver, FrontPage, CoffeeCup etc. we would suggest downloading the free trial version of Dreamweaver MX.

Download Trial Versions can be found here »

You can add and delete as much text as you like.

  • The templates folder includes a Dreamweaver template file which can be used as a base for all your other pages (edit page and then save as a new "page.html" each time) and then just link up your hyperlinks.  It also includes a home page, about us page, services page, related links page and a contact page.
  • The image folder includes image files that appear on the web site (.gif or .jpg files etc.) and blank source images (.gif and .Jpg files) without the text for you to modify in your graphics program.
  • The PSD folder will contain any Photoshop source files available for the template.

Modifying Images

You can edit the graphics in literally any graphics program. The image folder contains a blank state of the buttons as well as all other graphics needed.

Complete instructions for modifying a template can be found at the Macromedia site. We highly recommend you read them thoroughly and print them if necessary. Modifying a template is very easy to do, but reading the instructions carefully will save you time in the long run.

Updating Templates

The most important things to remember are:

  • Upload the files using the same names, including the file extension (.html, .gif, .jpg)
  • You need to upload all of the graphics files and the .html files
  • Upload the files to the same folder/directory on the web server
  • For custom versions of any of the templates, please contact us
